About Us
365Mexico Website Notes

We had quite a hail storm, just as our new park trees were delivered.  It was quite unexpected--it never rains here in April!  Global warming is affecting us here in Guadalajara, too.  You used to be able to set your watch by the weather--it was very stable.  But Winter started a month early this year, and summer started 6 weeks early.  It is raining in dry season.  What's next?

Omar ready to plant trees in the park.  The dark cloud in the background is very unusual for April...

We moved the Liquidambar into the kitchen...

We were lucky the hail was just pea size.  It still stung when it hit your skin!

Kids showed up to collect a pail of ice.  They had a ball playing with it.

Silvia and Pablo had some hail damage to their limies--both the fruit and the leaves.  You can always tell hail damage from insect damage on fruit--hail damage is only on the top side.

Plans change as we get hit with a hail storm.

And covered other trees with sheets

Coco inspects the damage.  We lost some leaves, but it could have been much worse.

We have shade cloth on the back patio, so the orchids, bromeliads, and carnivorous plants were fine.
